Time For Baking

It’s cold today. I’m pondering what to bake. I have so many cookbooks to look through. I started off taking a photo of the sugars, then it occurred to me to take a photo of the salt, and then I figured I’d combine the two to make a collage. And have I baked anything yet? No.

Fran Costigan has a new cookbook out, VEGAN CHOCOLATE! I think I need that one. I listened to her being interviewed by Marilu Henner yesterday on her show.. Marilu asked great questions and Fran had great answers about the different ingredients used for baking that are vegan.

Isa Chandra Moskowitz has a new cookbook out too, Isa Does It. I will most likely get her cookbook. When I go to the thrift stores, I always check out the book section. I’ve found some really great books at bargain prices. I have an original Moosewood Cookbook by Mollie Katzen. And the other day I picked up Instead of Turkey, Instead of Chicken-A Poultryless Poultry Potpourri by Karen Davis.  It’s filled with a lot of great recipes and tips. It was a quarter!
